Dine Arounds

What could be better than enjoying a delicious dinner or brunch with friendly, like-minded folks? At Indivisible Montgomery, we arrange quarterly potluck events, or dine-arounds, for our members and guests to build community and brainstorm ways we can improve our efforts.

These positive, invigorating events leave attendees energized and ready to take on the next challenge in our fight for inclusion and diversity and against the Trump agenda.

What is a dine-around?

Dine-arounds are potluck brunches or dinners held across the county on the same weekend and hosted by members of Indivisible Montgomery. Far from being complaining sessions that lead nowhere, fellow members and guests are invited to join in a meal and talk about how we can be more effective in upcoming activist efforts. Ideas generated by attendees are put to use whenever possible. A member of the Indivisible Montgomery leadership will be there to answer questions and join in the discussion.

How does it work?

Every 2-3 months, we put out a call for hosts. Hosts let us know which day(s) they are available, how many people they can host, and whether they will be serving brunch or dinner. Once we have 5 or 6 hosts confirmed, we put out a call for attendees.

Attendees can choose the location most convenient to them, and they let their hosts know what they will be bringing to share. We work hard to make sure we have locations throughout the county, so you can (almost) always find an event near you.

While most attendees will already be Indivisible Montgomery members, others interested in joining the resistance or learning more about us are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Opportunities to host and attend will be sent by our newsletter. Sign up now!
