Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, from 10:30am to12:30pm, at the Gaithersburg Library
The midterms are over and we took back the House of Representatives! Now what? Get ready to go on the offensive with Indivisible Montgomery, a grassroots activist group working in Montgomery County, Maryland.
Repr. Jamie Raskin will speak about his outlook for the 116th Congress, how House Democrats plan to use their majority to hold the Trump administration to account, and how Indivisible Montgomery members can be more effective activists.
When Raskin finishes, Indivisible Montgomery director Chris Pickett will lead a planning session and guide a discussion about what worked and what didn’t over the past two years, and where we go from here.
- Learn about Indivisible Guide 2.0, the new guide from the national Indivisible gang
- Discuss how we can be more effective in building our community and advocating for change
- Bring your own ideas for new initiatives and how to improve our established ones
Leaders of our topic-specific committees (elections, health care, conflicts of interest, environment and science) will be on hand. Guests interested in becoming more involved with Indivisible Montgomery are encouraged to visit with the committee leaders.
Admission is free. All are welcome.
